Whether it’s a purebred rescue or not, there are millions of dogs nationwide looking for homes. Always make sure you are prepared before adopting any animal. Learn about how big the animal will get, what it eats, how much exercise and socialization it needs – BEFORE you adopt it. That will make the experience better for everyone involved.
Obedience training with dogs is critical to the whole family being happy with the new pet. Make sure you use a non-aversive trainer, one who doesn’t bully or push the dog.
